THEME: SALVATION

1 Peter 1:6‭-‬9 ‬‬‬‬‬

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

INSIGHT
-After Christ grants us the gift of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and journeys with us through our walk of faith. He renews our minds daily, which is an un-ending process until the end of time when Christ will come back to save our souls. Through trials our faith is tested so that Jesus Christ may be revealed in our lives. Faith in Christ is eternal and gold cannot buy our salvation. Through His death and resurrection; we have faith in Christ for He shed His blood for our redemption. During the Passover, the Israelites were instructed to paint their door posts with blood so that they may receive Gods’ salvation as the Egyptian firstborns; both human and animal were destroyed in judgement (Exo 12:5-13). Likewise; through the shed blood of Jesus; we have received redemption for our sins which remains our covering of grace; yielding righteousness. We therefore have hope of the final glory at the last trumpet where our corruptible bodies will be transformed into incorruptible, and the mortal put on immortality (1 Cor 15:52‭-‬53). When then we endure present trials, our faith which is more precious than gold is tested and refined; so that we may glory and rejoice with Christ forever.

PRAYER
You are our refuge and our fortress, our God, in whom we trust. We open our hearts to You Lord in total submission to You that You may take control of our lives. Forgive us our sins and cover us with Your precious blood we humbly ask You Jesus. Save us from eternal condemnation by Your merciful love Father; together with all our descendants, from generation to generation. Be with us all Lord Your children and conform us to Your holy will. Increase our faith in You Lord and help us to always rely on Your divine wisdom in all things. Our Father who at in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from all evil. For thine is the kingdom the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen

Blessed Wednesday
