THEME: WAIT ON GOD

Psalms 37:34 NKJV

Wait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.”

INSIGHT

It is inevitable for believers to wait on God. Even though often times it requires patience and perserverance.  Those who do not wait patiently on God, His guidance, providence, healing and answers are usually disillussioned as the wicked are destroyed.  While praying for a specific need for several years, we are called to believe in God, who answers our prayers as His children and enable us to inherit the land.

SUMMARY

Wait is qavah in Hebrew and perimenó in Greek that means to trust, believe, remain, be patient. Abraham waited on the Lord for the promise of offspring and was taken outside and shown the stars with the promise of a great offspring. When he believed, it was accounted to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:4-6). We wait on the Lord in prayer trusting that He shall answer for He is indeed faithful. God’s promises strengthens our hearts while we wait on the Lord (Psalms 27:14). God’s promises are yes and amen, and He performs all His promises. God has blessed us with the gift of life, daily bread, healing, shelter, protection, strength, direction, and all our needs. Our souls wait for the Lord for He is our help and shield. As we wait on God for hope and strength He supplies for His steadfast love upon us is everlasting (Psalm 33:20-22). Unfortunately some among us trust in withcraft, socery and idols made by human hands which cannot speak, see, hear or breath, and all who make them will be like them (Psalms 135:16-18). God is calling us to trust in Him like a baby content in its mother’s arms, and wait with hope in Him (Psalms 131:1-3). God is also inviting us to wait eagerly in Him and He will appear a second time, apart from sin but for salvation (Hebrews 9:28).

PRAYER

We thank You Jehovah for Your goodness, mercy and love. Thank You for You have loved us even when we were still sinners, You died for us. Lord You are rich in mercy and because of Your great love with which You loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with You Christ and it is by grace we have been saved. We declare today that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that has been raised against us You shall condemn in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We trust in You Lord and believe in You in every condition and situation including healing, provision, protection, work, spouces, children, leadership, and every breakthrough. Some trust in chariots and others in horses but we put all our trust in You Lord. We wait on You Lord and trust in You for You shall renew our strength, we shall mount up like eagles, we shall walk and not grow weary, we shall run and not be faint. Dear Lord You shall supply all our needs according to Your goodness in glory in Christ Jesus. Amen

Blessed Weekend
