Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

INSIGHT

–A new year is not just an event, it comes with new opportunities, blessings and new beginning in certain spheres. This year we are called to look ahead and match forward in faith knowing that God is before us. God is doing a new thing this year and calls us to focus on Him and His possibilities and forget our past failures, setbacks, challenges and limitations. The Lord reminds us that He makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him, though we may stumble, we will not fall, for the Lord upholds us with his hand (Psalms 37:23-24).

PRAYER

We praise You dear Lord Jesus for You are worthy of all our praise. We sing to You Lord a new song, and praise You in the assembly of the saints. We worship You and give You praise for only You deserve it. At the mention of Your name dear Lord Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus You are Lord to the glory of God the Father. Dear Lord Jesus Your mercies are new every morning, Your compassions fail not, great is Your faithfulness. We look to You with our eyes of faith knowing that we will never be disappointed. Lord You are good to those who wait on You and diligently seek You, may You show us Your salvation this year and open every door that has been shut in the past. We seek Your restoration and breakthroughs from every side. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now, and forevermore. Amen
