THEME: DIMENSIONS OF GRACE

John 1:16-17 NKJV

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

INSIGHT

-It is by Jesus Christ that we have received the fullness of grace, which is sufficient to us. We realize from the scriptures in 2 Corinthians 12:9, that Jesus has supplied to us sufficient grace for His strength is made perfect in weakness and we should rather boast in weakness that the power of Christ may rest upon us. When we acknowledge that we are imperfect and that we need Christ our Savior in our lives and every situation, then we are made complete and glory goes back to Him.

SUMMARY

Dimension in Greek is written as diastasi which means an aspect, conceptual, abstract. Grace in Greek is written as charis which means favor, kindness, and goodwill, often interpreted as unmerited favor. The first dimension of grace is the saving grace evidenced through Ephesians 2:8-9, that we have been saved by the grace of God through faith, and not for ourselves; it is the gift of God, not by our works, lest anyone should boast.  The second is the enabling grace that welcomes us to the dimension of victory for we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). The third is the revelation grace which is multiplied to us through knowledge of God and of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:2) and caused increased spiritual illumination. The fourth is the grace of love released to us through the finished work of Christ on the cross and His redemptive work. 2 Corinthians 13:14 declares that the grace and love of God be with us now and forevermore. Lastly is the sufficient grace of Christ which is made perfect unto us in our weakness and when we boast in it, His power is perfected in us (2 Corinthians 12:9).

PRAYER

Our Redeemer Savior and Friend, we come before Your throne of grace and mercy in thanksgiving this day to obtain Your grace for our time of need. We thank You for our nation, our families, leaders, the gift of life and salvation. We thank You for seeing us through this week as a people and country, swayed through this tough season of loss and grief. Father we thank You for the life of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga and the leader he was in our nation. Thank You for the impact he had. Father we pray for the nation of Kenya especially his family as we speak comfort and strength during this tough time. Lord You are near the broken hearted and save the contrite in spirit. We commit our nation unto You and we pray for Your grace and mercies to take over and fill us. Let Your uncommon peace that surpasses human understanding be upon the whole land as we mourn. We pray that You shall release Your sufficient, saving, enabling and revelatory grace of love, peace and unity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ upon our land and every family within Kenya. We cover Kenya and all citizens with the blood of Jesus and declare that You Lord Jesus reign and the heaven proclaim Your majesty, and Kenya shall see Your Glory. May You protect us against all forms of wickedness and evil upon Kenya and all people in Jesus Name. Dear Lord Jesus, may You do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask of or think of according to the power that is at work in us. Lord, we trust in You and exalt You. We believe that You are able to do more than we can think of or imagine. We believe that we shall be extremely fruitful since we abide in You and You in us. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in Your house forever. May You bless us and keep us loving Father, may You shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. May You lift up Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen

Blessed Weekend
