“For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
INSIGHT
–Peter was preaching on the Day of Pentecost after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. He emphasizes on key aspects including; the universality of salvation, our divine calling and grace, continuity of God’s covenant, the Holy Spirit as God’s promise. The prophecy in Joel 2:28 that God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, came to pass during Pentecost and it remains a perpetual agreement.
PRAYER
We thank You Abba Father for loving us and choosing us. Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit, our Helper, that He may abide with us forever. Thank You precious Holy Spirit, for You have never left us orphaned. We welcome You loving Holy Spirit to dwell in us always, to offer comfort, help, guidance, direction and leadership in our lives, families and nation. May You anoint us afresh precious Holy Spirit and empower us with Your fruit and gifts, and guide us into all truth. We worship You and give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name. Amen
