-In Hebrew fish is written as dag & fishing was one the biggest economic activities in Jerusalem & Egypt.
-Num 11:5, We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic;
-This was the first plague where water changed to blood. The pride of Egypt being fishing & all forms of food supply was cut short, but Pharaoh could not let the people go. After the Jews were released from captivity, they complained of lack of fish which was one of their main delicacies.
